EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The American Red Cross issued an emergency call for those who can donate blood (of all blood types) to give now because it’s facing a blood shortage.
The Red Cross said it has less than a three-day supply of most blood types available and less than a two-day supply of Type O blood.
The organization wants at least a five-day supply.
There are several upcoming donation opportunities taking place this month.
You can find out those times by calling the American Red Cross of Southwestern Indiana at 812-471-7200.
You can also visit the chapter on Stockwell Rd. in Evansville.
