EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- Apartments and commercial space are among the plans for a new redevelopment plan along Franklin Street in Evansville.

DKH Properties, which has redeveloped other properties along Franklin Street in the past, bought the property that formerly belonged to Rajo’s Guns at 2106 West Franklin Street.

DKH Properties owner Brent Hargett says he plans to convert the property into three commercial spaces, including a gift shop and home decor store. Hargett also said he is currently looking for two other tenants. Hargett is also planning on building apartments upstairs from the storefronts.

Construction is expected to begin in the coming months.
