Renewable energy project coming to Henderson

The Henderson City-County Planning Commission is holding a public forum on Tuesday to discuss solar installations.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- 4 Star Industrial Park announced Friday that it has reached an agreement with Geronimo Energy for 418 acres located within the park as part of the Unbridled Solar Project.

The Unbridled Solar Project is the largest solar project development in Kentucky and is anticipated to start operations by the end of 2023.

4 Star Board Chairman Doug Bell says the agreement gives the board the financial resources to enhance the park, potentially giving it a competitive advantage to attract industry to the park and to the area.

Henderson County Judge Executive Brad Schneider called the agreement a “win-win,” adding that it could help bring new jobs to Henderson County and the surrounding area.
