Renovations are wrapping up at a senior living complex at the center of a civil lawsuit. Officials with the Roosevelt House say all work is expected to be done by March.
Crews finished improvements on apartments and are now focusing on renovating the commons area – installing new elevators and landscaping.
Last year, a group of residents sued Roosevelt House over living conditions during construction. A judge denied a request to give the case class action status, but the suit is still pending in Daviess County Court.
“We’ve had some… that they had a lot of noise and stuff from the construction, but now that everybody is getting in, it’s been very positive,” said Travis Johnson with Roosevelt House.
Renovations started more than a year ago at a cost of more than $19 million.
