Kentucky is getting a bad report when it comes to higher education.

A new report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities shows Kentucky ranking 6th worst among states cutting funding to higher education since the recession started.

Since 2008, funding for college students in Kentucky has dropped 30%.

Just this year, Gov. Matt Bevin has drawn a lot of criticism for cutting another 2% from the state’s colleges and universities.
