A recently-retooled website means that Kentuckians no longer need to stand in long lines to renew their vehicle registration.
The Department of Vehicle Regulation has revamped their website, which offers Kentucky residents and guests traveling through the Commonwealth access to a variety of automotive services and information.
Drivers can renew vehicle registrations, pay license reinstatement fees, enroll in state traffic school, file trucking taxes or purchase driving history records. The site also allows commercial vehicle operators to apply for permits and check the status of their driver license applications.
Car and truck owners can use the site’s online services from any computer or mobile device.
Last year, the new website launched to low fanfare and limited service capability. The re-launched site has been expanded to offer more user-friendly online services.
