EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – After more than a year of construction, officials will cut the ribbon Thursday on the new downtown YMCA.
The new ‘Y’ replaces the old building across the street.
Employees have been moving equipment into the new building over the past few weeks.
CEO Johnathan Pope was on ABC 25 Local Lifestyles on Wednesday.
Pope said the new facility will be more accessible.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. Thursday.
There will be an open house from 4-6 p.m., including tours.
