Ribbon is cut on new downtown YMCA

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – After more than a year of construction, officials cut the ribbon on the new downtown YMCA.

The new ‘Y’ replaces the old ‘Y’ across the street.

Employees have been moving equipment into the new building over the past few weeks.

The new facility will be more accessible for people.

The new Y features designated areas for children and teens, including a game room and classroom space.

There’s more group workout classes and a hot yoga room.
