EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- The 26th annual Ritzy’s Fantasy Lights event raised an estimated $180,000 for Easterseals, a record for the event.

Easterseals, an organization focused on providing therapy for children and adults with disabilities estimates the money raised will help fund as many as 3750 therapy sessions. Overall, the event has raised more than $3 million for Easterseals dating back to its origins.

The Fantasy Lights only run from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day, meaning that organizers had less time this year with a shortened holiday season.

Easterseals office manager, Cydney Quinn said “We kind of exceeded our expectations this year with having a week less between thanksgiving and the new year.So we are just so grateful to the community and everyone who came to support us here. “

The 27th Fantasy Lights display is already being planned and organizations, churches, companies, or families interested in sponsoring a light display are invited to contact Easterseals.
