River Levels Could Send Deer Searching for Higher Ground

The levels of the Ohio River could soon have herds on the move.

It's a common sight to see deer running across Highway 41 in Henderson.

When the river level rises, the deer tend to take to higher ground.

That usually happens when the Ohio River reaches about 40 feet at Evansville.

The river is expected to crest around 38 feet this weekend.

Slow down and be alert when driving in these areas.
