Owensboro Police release the name of the man killed in Thursday’s motorcycle accident

UPDATE: OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – The Owensboro Police Department has released the name of the man killed yesterday in a motorcycle accident.

According to OPD, 42-year-old Joseph Ashley is the motorcycle driver who died from his injuries after the crash involving a pickup truck.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A road is closed following a deadly motorcycle accident in Owensboro.

The accident happened just after 4:15 p.m.

Owensboro Police say West Parrish Avenue between Bosley Road and Independence Avenue for accident reconstruction.

OPD says the accident involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

A 42-year-old man died from his injuries, according to police.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time.

Drivers should avoid the area, if possible.
