EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Lanes closures are coming to a long stretch for Interstate 69.
Beginning in Vanderburgh County on or around April 15, contractors are going to restrict the southbound lanes of I-69 near I-64. The Indiana Department of Transportation will be doing pavement and bridge approach repairs.
Closures will happen between I-64 and U.S. 231 in Greene County, one location at a time of the near 70-mile stretch.
During the work, north and southbound driving will be open at all times.
Work is expected to last until mid-October depending upon weather conditions.
Lanes will be restricted to 11-feet. Work zones could be up to 10 miles long depending on the nature of the work being performed.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
