ROMP Fest 2020 postponed due to COVID-19

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic  the Board of Trustees of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum announced early Thursday morning ROMP Fest has been postponed for 2020.

The festival was scheduled to take place June 24-27, 2020 at at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro.

Organizers posted on Facebook they are exploring all possible alternatives for ROMP and will update the public as soon as possible.

As soon as a new date is announced, trustees will reach out to ticket holders about options.

ROMP is a production of the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Owensboro, Kentucky that exists to preserve, promote, and present the music of Kentucky that is enjoyed, and played, around the world.

Trustees posted: “making a joyful noise is even more important now as we work together to overcome this pandemic and its cascading effects on our communities. Everyone associated with ROMP and the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is eager to contribute to the healing as we look to the future.”

The 2020 lineup included: Bruce Hornsby, The Noisemakers, Live from Here with Chris Thile, Sam Bush, The Devil Makes Three, and over a dozen other groups.
