Salvation Army makes adjustments to food pantry, lunch program

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Salvation Army announced Monday they are making changes to the food pantry and lunch program amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Salvation Army will continue to prepare meals (M-F) on a take out basis. There will be no congregate setting on-site at the Salvation Army.

The Food Pantry will continue to operate but will not allow for the waiting inside our facility as we normally have done. Food boxes will be prepared in advance so that families could be served quickly. Frozen items will be added upon arrival.

The Salvation Army is also asking for volunteers for these services.
