The Satanic Temple of Chicago has put a sculpture in the rotunda called “Knowledge is the Greatest Gift.”
The structure stands about 4 and a half feet tall and depicts the forearm of a young woman extended, with a serpent wrapped around, while her hand holds an apple.
A spokesperson for Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White says the satanic group has the right, just like any other religious organization, to put up a display at the Capitol.
