(WEHT)- The Boy Scouts of America Buffalo Trace Council announced Friday that it will host a virtual camporee since “traditional campouts can’t take place right now.”
The event is scheduled for May 9 and is for youth of all ages, regardless if they are a Boy Scouts member or not. The event starts at 8 AM with a traditional flag raising ceremony and feature a wide array of events, ranging from internet safety training to an interfaith service before ending with a group campfire and video skits.
While the event is free, registration prior to the event is required. A patch of the event can be purchased for $5 and will be mailed to the participant’s home.
