The search is underway for a new school superintendent after the resignation of their last one in Ohio County.
Scott Lewis stepped down as Ohio County School Superintendent at the end of last month.
Assistant Superintendent Seth Southard is interim superintendent.
Lewis, who was elected State Representative last November, said scheduling was one reason for his resignation.
“After getting my legislative calendar, I was going to have to be gone the whole month of February, so I thought it would be better for myself and the district to go ahead and resign from superintendent at that time.”
Lewis says a committee could pick a new superintendent as early as the end of March.
