Second O.Z. Tyler employee tests positive for COVID-19


OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — The O.Z. Tyler master distiller says a second employee at the distillery has tested positive for COVID-19.

Eyewitness News learned Monday about the first employee to test positive.

O.Z. Tyler says they have immediately shut down parts of the distillery and have engaged an industrial cleaning service to perform a thorough, deep cleaning.

Employees who may have come in contact with the two employees were sent home for two weeks with paid leave. Distillery employees are working from home when possible, and the distillery is adhering to CDC safety protocols.

O.Z. Tyler says they will continue to monitor the situation.
