MCLEAN COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) — The McLean County Coroner confirmed on Tuesday that a man involved in a crash back in May passed away last week.

Phillip “Chad” Atherton passed away on Thursday, June 20 at the University of Louisville Medical Center — following a crash on May 21 which took the life of his father, Phillip R. Atherton.

The Athertons were in a UTV on Barrett Hill Rd. and US 431, south of Livermore, when the UTV pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Elmo West of Utica, authorities said.
