Second trial begins for Buckskin murder suspect after mistrial

GIBSON CO, Ind (WEHT) – The trial of Jacob Wilson was delayed until Tuesday morning after the trial ended last week in a mistrial just hours after jury selection began.

Wilson is accused in the 2018 murder of Sam Bethe. According to police, Bethe was shot and his home in Buckskin was set on fire.

Wilson and Ashley Robling were on the run for days before police found them near the Illinois-Missouri state line.

Robling pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
