DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – A semi-truck and train collided in Daviess County.

Daviess County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the accident on Wimsatt Rd. and Griffith Station Rd.

Deputies say John Ellington, of Warren, OH, was driving the semi-truck northbound on Wimsatt Rd., when his landing gear got stuck in the railroad tracks as he crossed over the intersection.

Ellington was able to get out of the truck before it was hit and was unharmed.

Deputies say the train hit the truck, separating the truck from the trailer it was hauling.
