NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) – Several fire departments are on the scene of a house fire in Newburgh.

Crews were called to the 8300 block of Oak St. before 9 p.m.

Neighbors tell Eyewitness News that the house has been vacant for several months.

Firefighters say nobody was inside the house at the time of the fire. There are no reports of any injuries, but crews say the house is a total loss.

Firefighters say the closest hydrant was not working, so other departments had to be called in to help transport water.
