Sheriff: Family pet found shot in Daviess County

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Daviess County Sheriff’s office is searching for information an animal abuse case that killed a dog.

The sheriff’s office says Lexi, a family pet, was shot sometime around Noon on Sunday near the 5200 block of West 5th Street Road outside of Owensboro.

Lexi later died from the injury after surgery.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who has any information about this incident or may have heard a gunshots in the area around noon please call (270) 685-8444 or you can remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at (270)687-8484.
