Sheriff’s office: Mother arrested in connection with abuse of two young children

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office made an additional arrest on Friday in connection with an investigation into the assault of two juveniles.

Hannah Harrell, 21, is the mother of the two kids, according to the sheriff’s office.

Harrell is charged with two counts of criminal abuse to a child 12 or under.

The two juveniles were released from the hospital two days ago, according to a family member.

The investigation started on August 8 at Quail Run Apartments.

On August 9, Caleb Cobb was arrested in White Plains on charges of assault and tampering with physical evidence.

Authorities said a one-year-old had a broken jaw and severe bleeding to the brain, and a two-year-old had bleeding to the brain.

Cobb’s bond was set to $500,000.
