Shoals man dies in single-vehicle accident

SHOALS, Ind. (WEHT) – Monday night, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle accident on US 50, which led to a man’s death.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 22-year-old Grady Key from Shoals. The coroner pronounced Key dead at the scene.

The accident happened just east of Shoals.

Key’s pick-up truck was headed west when it went off the north side of the road and struck a sign, authorities said.

The vehicle came to a rest on the south side of the road in a ditch, crossing the eastbound lane of Highway 50 where it caught fire, according to the sheriff’s office.

The accident remains under investigation.
