Signing event honors high school students joining the workforce

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – High school seniors signed on the dotted line Wednesday, looking ahead to a future as part of the Opt-In Program.

The program honors students deciding to get a job or go into the military after high school.

The program develops skills necessary in today’s workforce and aligned with students’ interests and strengths.

Most students have completed career preparation and have certifications from high school credits.

About 80 students signed on Wednesday.

Opt-In is starting a work-based program where students will spend the school day learning at Ameriqual and earning a wage.
