Local News

EARLINGTON, Ky. (WEHT) – Several groups installed a marker at the Oakwood Cemetery near Earlington, pointing out the spot of a mass grave.

About a century ago, much of Earlington’s population died as a result of Spanish flu.

According to historians, so many people died during the outbreak that the victims were buried in a mass grave as opposed to individual graves.
