Update: Precautionary boil advisory in place following water main break on Burkhardt Rd.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Water has been restored to businesses impacted by a water main break on Burkhardt Road in Evansville.

A boil advisory has been issued for those businesses that were without water.

The water main break happened on the southbound side of Burkhardt Rd. on Tuesday afternoon.

Update (6:01 p.m.)

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Some businesses along Burkhardt Road are temporarily without water due to a water main break in Evansville.

Panera Bread, Wine Vault and Batteries & Bulbs are without water, but water crews are working to repair the break as soon as possible.

The southbound side of Burkhardt Rd., just south of Virginia Street, is down to one lane at this time.

It’s unclear when the break will be repaired.

The outside lane is closed to all traffic due to the water main break.

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area.
