EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A local insurance agency is helping out the community in a new way because of the pandemic.
State Farm insurance agent Pam Lentz donated materials to make 1,100 masks.
Her coworker, Betsy Taylor, made and handed out the masks Friday. They were free to anyone who needed them.
Taylor says she can make 100 masks a day with the help of her family.
“It’s pretty tough. You gotta work hard. My boys help me. One boy flips the mask. Another son cuts the elastic for the ear pieces. So we have it down to an art,” Taylor said.
Taylor says she plans on continuing to make masks, but no other giveaways have been announced yet.
