Statewide ‘We Won’t Be Bullied by Bevin’ tour kicks off

Local News

HENDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Teachers in Henderson County joined forces with local politicians to kick off the statewide “Won’t Be Bullied by Bevin Tour.”

Representative Rob Wiederstein spoke at the event, surrounded by educators as he spoke out against Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin.

Bevin has repeatedly criticized educators, calling them names and mocking teacher protests.

Now, teachers around the state are participating in a statewide tour and calling upon Kentuckians to “Remember in November” and vote for Andy Beshear.

“There are many of us, Republicans and Democrats, who are working to elect Andy Beshear. Matt Bevin is a Republican but that doesn’t mean everybody in his party in Kentucky is happy with the job that he’s done and the things he’s said and his behavior. They see it as well, most adults in the state think that kind of behavior is not okay.”

We reached out to Bevin’s campaign manager for a comment, but we have not gotten a response back.
