Students Learn About Wildlife

Wild Kingdom

Elementary students from across Henderson County spent part of their day outside the classroom learning about wildlife animals from across the world.

Peter Gros of the Original Mutual of Omaha Animal Kingdom has over 30 year of experience in his field and has traveled across the world recording wildlife in their natural habitat.

Gros says he loves sharing his knowledge with everyone, especially with young children who are eager to learn.

“Many places I visit, many children have not been off of pavement. So, I am trying to reconnect them with nature and get them interested in becoming more involved with outdoor activities and experiencing wildlife,” said Peter Gros.

There will be another show tonight at 7:00 at the Henderson Fine Arts Center on the Henderson Community College campus.

Ticket prices range from $27 to $37. Our very own meteorologist Joe Bird will be there emceeing the show.
