An overnight pursuit in Vanderburgh County sees the suspect still at large this morning.
Sheriffs say they attempted to stop a vehicle early Thursday morning at Hitch Peters and Bergdolt Road.
When authorities stopped the car and attempted to speak to the driver, they say the vehicle fled the scene.
Sheriffs say they pursued the car, but terminated the chase at Hwy 41 and Radio Avenue due to fog.
Deputies spotted the vehicle again at Hwy 41 and I-64, and attempted another stop, but authorities say the driver sped off again, and they resumed the pursuit.
For about 30 minutes, deputies pursued the driver, reportedly reaching speeds approaching 100 miles per hour.
After traveling through Posey County, authorities terminated the chase at the Illinois State line.
Police say they know the person involved, and plan to file charges.
Eyewitness News contacted White County Illinois authorities to find out if they continued the pursuit, and were told they have a ‘No Pursuit’ policy unless a felony is involved.
