In Illinois, teen driving deaths in the state have decreased significantly in the last few years.

The number has dropped almost 60% from 2008.

State leaders credit a seven-year-old law for saving lives called the Graduated Drivers License Program.

The program was created to better prepare teens by giving them more time to gain driving experience while under adult supervision.
