The EVSC Announces 14 Honorees for “Hall of Fame”

The Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation is honoring 14 alumni, community activists and business leaders by inducting them into the “Hall of Fame.”

The inductees are: Carol Abrams, Lt. Gen. John B. Conaway, Ed Cole, Craig Fenneman, Joseph Heathcott, Ph.D., Judge Les Shively, Kendra Colton, Dr. Harold Gurley, Karen Gurley-LeMond, Michael Shoulders, William Miller, Raymond Nicholson, M.D., Rose Cole-Mays, Ph.D. and Wayne Henning.

The “Hall of Fame Class” Class of 2016 was announced today at a news conference at the Administration Building.

The community sent in nominations, and a panel chose the inductees, based on outstanding achievement in their life’s work and positive impact on public education.

The 2016 class includes the first father/daughter honorees, as well as some inductees who’ve had an international impact.

The class will be officially inducted during a gala in March, 2017.
