EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Extending a hand to your those in need in our community just got easier.

On November 9, shoppers in participating local Walmart stores will have the opportunity to drop off new, unwrapped toys and coats for children who take part in The Salvation Army programs year-round, as part of the company’s fifth annual ‘Fill the Truck’ Toy Drive.

Please be aware that collection times vary by location.

Once the truck or bin is full of donations from shoppers, The Salvation Army will distribute the gifts to families in need.

Last year, ‘Fill the Truck’ collections collected more than 93,000 toys and 3,300 coats from generous shoppers.

For more than 40 years, Walmart has been a partner of The Salvation Army.
