Three people plead guilty in connection to 2016 murder of Ohio County man

Three people charged in connection with the death of an Ohio County man have pleaded guilty.

William Howard, Jr. pleaded guilty to murder, kidnapping, and tampering with physical evidence.

Melanie Howard and Christopher Hill pleaded guilty to facilitating murder, facilitating a kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence.

The three were charged for their role in the death of Tromain Mackall in July of 2016.

Mackall was last seen alive leaving a party at a home on Collier Road in Whitesville after an altercation. He moved to Ohio County, Kentucky from Maryland in early 2016.

Mackall was killed near the Daviess County-Ohio County line and his body was found in a toolbox in Grayson County.

All three are set to be sentenced on March 21, 2019.

A fourth person, Marcus Boyken, also faces charges of tampering with physical evidence.
