Thursday marks two-year anniversary of Hercules Ave. explosion

Local News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Thursday marked the second anniversary of a tragic Evansville event.

Two years ago, a house on Hercules Ave. exploded – killing two and injuring three others.

An investigation concluded a buildup of natural gas caused the explosion, but it never determined the spark which caused the explosion.

Earlier this week, the families of the victims filed a lawsuit against Vectren.

The suit looks to hold Vectren responsible for the incident.

Vectren said the investigation determined it was not responsible.
