HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Tickets are on sale for the upcoming Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival.
It started in 2010 as a one-night event to bring Nashville songwriters to town to tell stories about their songs and the inspiration behind them.
Now, the Sandy Lee Watkins Songwriters Festival is a four-night festival bringing in many more of Nashville’s award-winning singers and songwriters to perform in Henderson.
This year’s event will be held from July 24th through July 27th.
“Listening Rooms” will be set up at HomeTown Roots’ Gatsby Room and Rookies Banquet Room and on the third floor of the Soaper Building.
There’s a single 6:45 p.m. show in all three venues on Wednesday and Thursday, July 24-25; a 9 p.m. show in a single venue on Thursday, July 25, and shows at 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. in all three venues on Friday and Saturday, July 26-27.
Each year, proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit organizations. And this year proceeds will benefit Cairo Elementary School, Volunteer and Information Center, Healing Reins Therapeutic Riding, Western Kentucky Veterans Center and Audubon Area Foster Grandparent Program.
Tickets are on sale at SandyLeeSongfest.com.
