Tractor-trailer leaks fuel after accident in Henderson

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Firefighters and tow truck workers spent nearly three hours cleaning up an accident and fuel spill after a two-vehicle accident.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Green St. and Second St.

A semi-truck was traveling on Green St. and was hit by another vehicle as the driver was attempting to turn right on Green from Second.

The wreck caused a puncture in the semi’s tank, causing a large diesel leak.

Crews were able to contain the fuel using absorbents.

No one was injured and the intersection is now back open.

Cleanup is underway.

Crews are using a pump to remove fuel from the tank.
