HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Eyewitness News spoke with many people who told us they were hitting the road, but not going too far.
They say they are planning short trips to spend time with family or are taking advantage of local camping spots.
Michael Nixon spoke about his plans for the weekend.
“It’s okay. Gas is low right now and it’ll be fine. It ain’t gonna rain so ain’t going to get the Mustang dirty.” Monday I’m gonna go to my stepdad’s and we’re gonna go on a boat on the Ohio River.”
