EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT)- As thousands came to the Ford Center last week to watch the game, many also came to make a difference.
Tri-Staters over the weekend stepped up to lend a hand to tornado victims in Tennessee.
Evansville joined forces with the Ohio Valley Conference to raise money during this year’s basketball tournament.
Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says well over $10,000 was raised for the community foundation of middle Tennessee.
“It’s part of how we’re wired as a community, to give back. I was really proud to be at mid-court on Friday night to make that check presentation. It makes me very proud.”
