Trial Date Set for Man Charged in Animal Cruelty Case

One of two men charged in an animal cruelty case now has a trial date set.

Vanderburgh County Deputies say Brandyn Cox was the man behind the wheel of a truck that had a dog tied to it.

The incident happened last month.

Deputies say another driver stopped Cox along Pearl Dr. but it was too late.

The dog was already dead.

Cox is facing animal cruelty charges — along with another suspect – Jamie McFarland.

Cox’s trial is set for July 27.
