Trial starts Thursday for accused dog killer

PIKE COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – A jury is seated, and the trial of a Pike County man accused of killing two dogs will start on Thursday.

Indiana State Police accused 27-year-old Jordan Hunt of Hazelton of shooting two dogs and burning their bodies.

The dogs belong to Chelsie Koutz of Evansville.

She and Hunt used to be in a relationship.

The dogs were found by police near Hazelton.

The trial is taking place in Pike County.
