A group in the tri-state is calling for a stop to the hate and violence.
The Tri-state Alliance held a rally Sunday night at the Four Freedoms Monument.
Protesters are calling for an end to violence and a start of dialogue between groups.
They’re also calling for what they say are common sense gun control laws against assault weapons
and for the state of Indiana to develop a hate crimes law.
“So many people feel like they have to fight violence with violence, hatred with hatred, we want to emphasize on love and that we’re all human beings and that we’re on this road together,” said Luke Sokel, Tri-State Alliance.
Those at the vigil said people need to be more understanding instead of looking at another group who may be different and telling them they’re wrong.
