Restrictions are planned for the southbound Twin Bridge on Friday night through the weekend.
Thursday, the contractor moved work to the northbound bridge.
The contractor is now facing the possibility of being fined by the state after not providing 48 hours notice that they were going to be on the northbound bridge.
The contractor plans to move back to the southbound bridge on Friday night.
Lane restrictions are scheduled to start at 9 p.m. The work will run through Monday at 5:30 a.m.
