Two arrested after shots fired/vehicle pursuit in Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (WEHT) — Around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, Madisonville Police responded to a shots fired report in the 50 block of S. Harrig Street

Officers say they located the vehicle involved in the incident a short time later on E. Center Street and attempted to stop it without success.

During the attempted stop, Madisonville Police say that 21-year-old Marquis McRae from Evansville, threw a gun and a ski mask from the car.

Officers say they eventually stopped the car on I-69, and took McRae and 19-year-old Ahvier Lamb, also from Evansville, into custody.

Police say McRae has prior Felony convictions, and Lamb has a pending Felony case involving a firearm.

Charges for Lamb include Evading, Assault, and Wanton Endangerment.

Charges for McRae include Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Marijuana, and Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun.
