HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Two children taken out of an apartment complex are expected to be okay after a woman died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
The two children were flown to hospitals in Indianapolis and Nashville.
Firefighters found 69-year-old Nancy Powell unresponsive and the two children in serious condition.
Investigators found elevated levels of carbon monoxide in the air.
Powell was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner said the exact cause of Powell’s death is still under investigation.
