Two injured after early morning crash, car fire in Dubois County

Two people were severely injured after an accident early Sunday morning.
According to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 2:50 a.m. on 15th Street just west of Meridian Road.
Police say a car drove off the road near the Patoka River Bridge, struck a tree and landed on its side before bursting into flames.
The driver was able to crawl out of the vehicle. The passenger was able to escape with help from Jasper Police officers.
Both people sustained injuries including a fractured femur and facial injuries.
