Henderson Police have arrested two people after a woman reported she was kidnapped and tortured.

The woman told police she was kidnapped on Friday, and endured several hours of cruel treatment and physical assaults through the next day. She said during this time, her 9-year-old child was also in the home and said her kidnappers threatened the life of her children, as well as her own.

The victim was treated for several injuries at the hospital.

Jacob Bates was arrested for kidnapping and assault. Melinda Cabell was also arrested on charges of complicity to kidnapping and assault. HPD say Cabell is also a fugitive from another state.
