Two Tri-State senators co-sponsor bill combating Fentanyl

(WEHT) – Two local U.S. Senators are part of an effort to combat Fentanyl.

Indiana Sen. Mike Braun and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell have co-sponsored the “Stopping Overdoses of Fentanyl Act”.

It would permanently list all types of Fentanyl-like substances as Schedule One narcotics.

Fentanyl is created by slightly modifying the chemical structure.

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid that’s 50 to 100 times stronger than Heroin.
